Pluckley Cricket Club
The Cricket Club is based on the Village Recreation Ground in the centre of Pluckley (Kent), the most haunted village in England.
It's a classic ground, within the sound of the church bells and with a gateway straight in to the back of the pub for those after-match discussions.
We have been running for many years, albeit with a brief lull between the late sixties and our reformation in 1976. We have competed, or at least played, in the Kent Village League since 1977, winning promotion twice and occasionally the wooden spoon.
We run both a Saturday team and a Sunday team, with a mixture of league and friendly cricket played on both days; like most teams are always on the lookout for new talent.
The new Pavilion is now complete, providing great facilities (including beer!) for players and supporters alike.
